Tell me what you think about JetBlue? We have an exchange to Cocoa Beach in February and looking to take a cruise before or after that leaves out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. It looks like there are some good deals out of Orlando, FL on JetBlue. Are there any watchouts? Any hidden cost, etc. that I should be aware of to compare cost?

No hidden charges that I've ever experienced.

I like Jetblue also, but there are always delays associated with JFK, no matter what airline.
I enjoy the direct TV. If you don't have earphones, they will sell you them for $2 but will not take cash.

Bring your own headset - they have very nice comfy leather seats, they have a VERY cool terminal at JFK - I would go there even if I weren't flying .

        Yes, I like Jet Blue.

I try to fly Jet Blue whenever I go to NYC. They are the absolute best airline out there. And I say this after my first flight with them was delayed 2+ hours. One of the inbound passengers had a medical emergency and they had to land in Montana or one of the Dakota's first. While we were waiting the gate personnel played games with us - who has a red lipstick, who has the biggest hole in their sock, etc. Winners walked away with $50 flight coupons. All of us had a $50 credit posted on our accounts as well.

After my last trip to NYC on Alaska Air, I can confirm that Jet Blue has much bigger seats and more leg room. I'll never fly Alaska that far again if I have Jet Blue as an alternative. And yes, any headphones with a mini plug will work with their direct-tv (entertainment console on Alaska - $12). I use my ipod earbuds.

Only downside is their TrueBlue point system. You need a goodly number to get a free ticket, and the points expire quickly.

Oh - and since Jet Blue normally flies into JFK, you can take the train from the plane now that's worth a few extra $ more than a cheap Newark flight!
