  • Heading to Hershey - need Airport Help

I can either fly into Baltimore or Philly. Both are about 70 miles from Hershey. I am not familiar with either. I am thinking traffic in and around the cities. Can any of you recommend one over the other? Will be weekday to/from

What about flying into Harrisburg? A lot closer and smaller airport.

Yes, certainly a better option for proximity to Hershey. BUT, I fly free with Southwest (credits) and they don't fly there.

I did check Harrisburg - no non stop from Providence with any other airline either. Still might be an option.....then again driving is to. But, only spending a few nights (going there for a concert) and don't want to waste so much time on the road.

If you fly into Baltimore you wouldn't have to deal with any city trafic but you would probably need to use the beltway around th city to get up north. The beltway is not too bad but I would avoid having to drive on it during rush hour 7-9am 4-6pm.

Mdurette, you might want to try sending a PM to PJRose over on the other board. She lives near Gettysburg so might have some advice on what's easiest. Good luck!

The Phila airport really isn't that bad to get out of. Traffic won't be too bad unless you are coming in around rush hour.
