I am a $9 club member and when I make ressies there are always 2 different fares listed, one for club members and 1 for non members. On Saturday I made ressies and failed to notice that only 1 fare was listed. When I noticed it today, I called Spirit (India).
The lady on the phone told me that Spirit changed its website this week and since I signed in as a member, the price I got was a $9 club member price, I politely disagreed with her several times but she was insistant and told me that if I logged out and went thru the process as a non member I would see a higher fare.
After I hung up I went thru the process as a guest and the fares were exactly the same as I had paid.
I called Spirit (India) again and the gentleman on the phone told me that the new policy since the carry on luggage charge is that all fares are the same (member and non member) but the charges for checked and carry on luggage is less for $9 members.
This seems to be accurate since I checked it out.
Just thought I'd give a heads up to Spirit users.
I think the lower luggage fee only applies if made in advance on the internet and the higher amt is due if made when checking in at the airport. Not 100% sure about this since I didn't ask on the phone.
