      Was a nice vacation

Hi all, We had a nice time in Ixtapa. It did make me realize how much has changed in me though, but I'll adapt. Like the limp, the tiredness and slowness as compared to before. Haha my 71 year old mother is faster than me LOL. I am sure each vacation I will be better and better.

Hubby did an awesome job of planning the vacation, sure surprised me he could do it all so well!!!

Had my tests upon return and waiting for Dr's decision on if we can reduce frequency of Zometa......I have my fingers crossed as it makes me so ill for 2 days, four days after receiving. I am having my exchange/reconstruction surgery in October along with another battery of tests, hopefully that will be my last surgery....I am almost getting to be a surgery professional LOL.

I know lots of people do not like tattoos and many do, but I had 2 dainty ones. One on my leg of dolphins which represents my two sons and has their names and another on my back shoulder which represents my life in Mexico.

Well despite all the pain I have been through in the past year I got myself another tattoo, all the time telling myself I was crazy getting something not necessary that causes pain. It is a very different shaped butterfly, longer than wider, and the body is the pink breast cancer ribbon. We go to Ixtapa almost every year so for each year I survive I will have my tattoo artist in Ixtapa put a smaller butterfly to represent another year of survival. Probably crazy but I like it and well sounds like something bezerk would do, right!!!

Busy months ahead......going to Puerto Vallarta in July, it is more like home to me than Ixtapa so feel it is a needed vacation also, what an excuse!

My younger son graduating as a private pilot this month then on to commercial. So proud of him.

Older son coming July or August with my grandson (8 months) which due to all my complications I have yet to meet. Very exciting.

Hope all is well with everyone......feeling fatigued so will post more later....

So glad to hear from you!

I think your butterfly tat sounds beautiful, and I wish you many many little butterflies - it sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate each year to come.

I am so happy for you!! I love the butterfly tattoo & the addition of little ones every year!! I hope you have so many that they cover u up!! Sort of like the Dixier Chicks b4 they broke up. Every time they got a gold record they had a chicken foot put on their ankle. Hugs to you!!! shaggy

I am so glad you had a nice vacation. I hope that the PV trip will be fun too. PV is one of our favorite towns. We will be going October 23rd and will stay 4 weeks using up some RCI weeks and our Buganvilias weeks.

We went to Mazatlan for the month of June again and had a great time. Just adults this year and it was really nice. We had a friend who was in desparate need of a relaxing vacation because of some extreme stress in her life that joined us and we commented on how just watching and listening to waves just restores your soul.

I look forward to seeing more posts from you.

I too am just catching up with your post, Pam, and all I can say is: great idea for marking each anniversary, and congratulations on the many miracles in your life, with all the special moments that have been surrounding you. I wish you the very best.

Thanks to all. I fear the gremlins are still after me...my dear younger brother passed away in his sleep fourth of July weekend. We were close and he lived in Mexico around corner from me for years. I am still in shock. Sure put a damper on the grandbaby meeting, but somehow we survived, now everyone is gone and I am in shock I think......We leave for PV sat. and I am not even packed and have no desire......hopefully tomorrow is better......I'll post more in August........Take care all.....vacation and stay healthy!

Oh, Pam, I am so sorry about your brother. You are sure going thru some rough patches in your life. Pack, forget all your problems and relax and enjoy your vacation. Things have to get better. Maybe new surroundings will help you through this.

Pam, how horrible. When it rains, it pours. It's got to get better. Maybe getting away will be the best thing for you. Please try to relax and let the sun & water sooth your soul. shaggy

Oh Pam, I am so sorry to read about your brother. How can all this happen to you? I hope that you will feel like packing in a day or so as the vacation will do you good together with your husband. Hang in there and try to relax in Puerto Vallarta as difficult as it may be.
