I think you will find that finding a free or cheap buy on the beach in summer will be very difficult. Even maryland and Virginia with their longer season will be a difficult find.
Go to the RCI or II website and look at the resorts available in the directory and then Google the resort name to see what is for sale through various venues.
As for northen beach towns, you can't go wrong with Provincetown. There is only one timeshare on the beach. A summer studio will cost in the $6000 range if bought from a broker or the resort. You may be able to find something cheaper from a private owner. Most of the Cape Cod resorts are actually inland. Pier 7 is on an estuary; some of the Falmouth resorts are aacross the street from the beach but the majority tradde with Interval.
Good luck to you; don't jump at the first "deal." Do your research; don't get stuck with what you think is a good deal to regret it later when you find usage is at a time that's not nice and the trading won't get you where you want to go.
