  • Off to South Korea

I just purchased our tickets for a second trip to see our son, who teaches English in South Korea, just outside of Seoul. He met a lovely Korean girl (we spent time getting to know her on our trip last summer ), and they are getting married. This is the reason for our trip over there. In the new year, they are coming home to Canada for good. We are getting very excited!

How nice Dori. Congrats on the addition to the family.

Are there any TS's in Korea?

Thanks! It will be so good to have them home. He has been gone, on and off, for close to 3 years. He comes home at the end of each contract, since his arifare is part of his employment package, but we miss him like crazy when he is gone. Skype has been a Godsend.

Christine, there are TS's in South Korea, but none are close to where he lives in Bundang. We thought of booking one, but the distances were too great.

Buff, we never would have travelled to South Korea if it weren't for our son. It is a beautiful country, and the people were so gracious and kind. We look forward to our return trip.

Thanks, gofish. Skype has been fine to keep in touch, but there is nothing like being able to give him a huge hug, and to cook his favourite dinner!
