Southwest open schedule to 3-11-11

Southwest is now accepting air reservations through March 11, 2011.

I have been "thinking" about the idea of going to Orlando during Feb school vacation in 2011. We usually fly free with SWA due to a Companion Pass and Reward flights. But, I was short an award this morning so I looked at prices. WOW - 3 minutes after they opened the schedule most of the Wanna Getaway fares were gone! (not that they were great pricing anyway).

I did notice that if I booked Thursday to Thursday though - the price per ticket dropped from $600+ to $220 round trip.

I booked 3 return tickets for BUF-MCO, February 5-18, for DD, SIL and grandbaby, who will be 2 in November. Price for 3 was just over $600. Prices last year were considerably cheaper. I'll keep an eye out for any sales, and if they come up I'll rebook.

I've been checking for an Austin-LAX flight, but no luck yet. I have unused travel funds I'm needing to use, so hoping the fare drops!
