  • Terror threat in Europe (news reports)

Is anyone concerned such that they might not travel to Europe for vacation.

Just bought DH's ticket to Spain today. Son is studying abroad in Seville and travels around Europe on weekends. We did not allow him to study abroad in central Africa because we felt it was unsafe there, but I think his risk in Europe of becoming a victim of a terror attack is acceptably low.

Wishing him well ! Seville is fantastic . Agree risk is low (not of an attack which has always been there ..well 30 years at least ) but that one would be unfortunate enough to be close by.

There was quite a discussion about this on "The View" this morning.
One person/host seemed to be leaning toward canceling her trip to Europe while another person/host had to go to finish work on a movie and was not happy about going.

I have just come back from Barcelona/Gibraltar/Madeira and did not feel unsafe....but for the government(s) to come out with a warning makes me think something is brewing.

IMO. This may put more preesure on the Euro and British pound to go drop in value.

My brother works in Belgium 20 days a month and he said he didn't even see it on the European version of CNN. I talked to him this afternoon but I guess since he's not in France, UK or Germany nobody is really talking about it yet in his little town where he is stationed.

I hope they foil whatever is planned.
                  Obviously they've intercepted something.

We did see it on the cruise ship CNN/BBC/Headline news when we got satellite reception on Tuesday/Wednesday last week...

This worries me as much as being hit by a meteorite.

As far as The View gab fest (or any other talk show), celebrities usually are so impressed by their own importance they have no perception of reality.

                      Cheers

Not really, or maybe I'm just a very jaded New Yorker.....I go to Times Square all the time, as do both of my children. I never feel unsafe there, even with all the threats. BTW, it's always packed with people, so others must share my view as well.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
