  • Air fares for Florida to Cancun

    Hi All,

So, my question is can any one tell me what the average price is for a flight from Orlando to Cancun?

I mistakenly purchased an All-Inclusive package for 2 from Premier Cancun Vacations to take a look at one of their TS. After paying $699 for 2 people for the week, they sent me the same offer for FREE!

Karen and I now want to make the best of a bad situation. Westgate has Owner Events for Daytona where we could get tickets, stay the weekend, and then watch the race with shuttle service to and from. We are thinking of combining this with our Cancun trip, and then flying home from Cancun. It would be a one-way to Floriday, then to Cancun, then home. Does it make sense to do this and what are the best kinds of air fares I can expect? I do not fly alot but did get some really good deals on our airfare to Florida earlier this year of around $200 round trip with luggage costs so hoping that I can maybe get away with say $750 for all 3 trips. Would that be a reasonable expectation?

It's about $250 R/T from Miami to Cancun so it's probably around that from Orlando too. You might be better off doing a R/T from your home to Orlando and then another R/T from Cancun to Orlando. Not sure.

That is actually not a bad idea, guess that will really all depend on how much time we have to end up spending in airports on the "return" home. I will definately have to look at that as an option.

In the past, friends flying to Cancun from Florida sometimes found cheaper fares out of Tampa- so it might be an idea to check there to.

I use Yapta quite a bit for my flights as it allows me to track the pricing. There is an option to check nearby airports so definately will consider this as an option as well. The savings might end up getting eaten though on the transfer from Orlando to Tampa.

You could probably do an economy car one way rental. I don't think they'll charge you a drop off fee going from Orlando to Tampa.

Sometimes you can get a car real cheap on a weekly rental then you'd have the car the whole time and just drop it off at the airport. I do this alot when travelling even if I park the car in the hotel for a few days while I sightsee an area by tours. Sometimes it makes sense. I did it recently in Boston. Found a hotel with free parking by the airport.
Parking in Orlando TS's should be free.
