  • Southwest's Planes Are Falling Apart

It looks like their old 737's are suffering from metal fatigue.

This is making me a little nervous, as we are scheduled to fly on SW from Buffalo to Las Vegas next month. We have flown SW dozens of times, and never worried before. Let's hope they get their fleet in good shape very soon.

We have about 5 trips already booked with Southwest in the next few months. I am sure they will do a good inspection job and repairing the damaged areas.

We put our dd on a SW plane yesterday. My only concern was whether her flight would be cancelled or delayed (neither happened). I have several flights with SW planned over the next few months. It is still my airline of choice.

To the extent that the planes are just plain old and suffering from metal fatigue, they may not be able to repair them. Southwest flies more of these planes than any other airline.

SWA is still going to be my airline.....actually, because of this event....I will feel safer because I am sure all the planes that are older are getting a good "check-up" right about now!

Mdurette, I feel the same as you. We are scheduled Buffalo to Las Vegas in May, and knowing that the planes have been checked, puts my mind at ease.
