Montreal info

Okay, I've got to get back to planning my trip. We will be at Lac Morency and plan to go into Montreal for a couple of days. Which subway stop would be best for us? Does it have ample parking?

I also know there is a commuter train. Any info about this?

Lac Morency is north of Montreal so you drive south on Highway 15 .

The closest ( and most north ) subway station is the Montmorency station located in Laval. I doubt you will be able to find free parking but you can park inside for $6 .

Another alternative is the commuter train . From the St-Jérôme train station to the Lucien L’Allier subway station in downtown Montreal.

Nope you don't need a car. We took the train from NYC and ended up at a station right under where we stayed the first night. Between walking, and public transit, we did fine. I think we may have taken a can to the airport when we left. I was looking at the website for your hotel and I think they had links to places like the airport. They might have transportation suggestions.

Even though a car is an impediment in NYC, we always rent one when we stay in SFO, so it's hard for me to gauge.
