I am a sales professional, and best sales presentation I have ever seen. Ended up buying time share. Really regret. Started out so nice. Now, Marriott has engineered their system so tight, almost impossible to take advantage of your share. Also, they work through Interval International which has an incredibly complex system to reserve time etc etc. Have to be member of Mensis Society to understand and use. it. Botton line- Save up your shekels and go on a nice vaca like most normal people do. No recurring real estate taxes, no recurring high maintenance fees. No life long commitment to time share. Bad idea, run like hell. Even a reputable company like Marriott is in sheisterland on this product. Just stay away!!! Do yourself a favor.

Wow, I never realized I was so smart.
Really, it's not a difficult system to understand. I can say I'm not overly thrilled with the increases in MF's we've seen since our original TS purchase in 1998 but, overall, we've been very successful in reserving the weeks we want at our home resort and exchanges through I.I. and now Marriott's new DC.
It's not as if this is rocket science. It just takes a little effort and the understanding that it's first come, first reserved. With timeshare, you MUST plan ahead. Not every can do that and, not everyone is willing to plan 6 to 12 months in advance. Our timeshare and other photo's at http://dougp26364.smugmug.com/
