Flight or accomodations first

Typically I get flights first then lodging. I'm new to timesharing, however, I would think in the case of timesharing better to get lodging first.

Most times I get the room confirmation first then the flight. For the vacation I am planning now I got the flight first because of the great deal being offered by an airline.
