Priceline did me right!!!

I'm going to a wrestling convention in Atlanta in Aug. and I was very happy with my package from Priceline , 4 nights at the Marriott Airport & 2 airline tix for $810. B4 my "special" room rate was $100 plus taxes and fees. I had checked several websites when booking and was happy with the original deal.

Yesterday I heard a commercial for Expedia and just for the heck of it I checked it out and OMG it was cheaper. I called Priceline, they checked it out and voila they credited my card $180 plus gave me a $50 credit for another purchase. It's like getting my plane tix free!!

THANK YOU PRICELINE!!! You did the right thing!!!!

Shaggy your not going to like this but you over paid for that room. I got the same hotle for $45 a night a few years back. BTW the hotel is great and worth every penny. YOu had a lot of time to play with your bids there. Actually, I know the rooms are a little high but it's like getting the airfare for free. With the actual legends convention being held there if I bid the chances of getting the Marriott were problably slim to none.

For around $600 ( 300 a piece) I got exactly where I need to be at a price I can afford. Not being familiar wth the hotels around there and not having a car I didn't dare do a bid. $600 is what the hotel would have charged me with taxes and then I'd either have to drive or fly. Plus they have free shuttle from the airport to the hotel and free shuttle to the marta.

When they have the convention in Charlotte I always bid 35 for the hotel. Last year I was right across the street but even if I wasn't that lucky I could drive to the convention because I'm always near there as I bid on the University plaza area.

Not yet, but I think I'm sitting with him at the legends hall of fame banquet. The organizer owes me one!! Last year I sat with Rocky Johnson and the year before that was Paul Jones. shaggy
