South shoreline of OR

I've done the northern OR coast. Is there more like that all the way to CA, or is it better? I know it's different, but is it better than the CA Big Sur? We will see some of both, but will skip the south shoreline of OR, if it is just more of the same.

IMO, the south coast is not as spectacular as the northern coast, HOWEVER, the south coast is beautiful, and leads you to the giant redwoods in northern California which are a MUST SEE!
