when is your state school holiday vacation?

I'm just thinking my daughters is a bit strange. She gets out on Wed 12/21st and does return until Wed 01/04. We are heading to Orlando on the 29th and I'm trying to determine if the parks are going to still be crazy from the 01/01 to 01/04 since all school systems may be like hers.

So....when is your kids holiday break scheduled? If I find out is like ours - there may be another plan I put together to avoid busy parks.

What grade School is she in? My son in Collage goes from mid Dec to mid to early Jan. My wifes School which is an Elementary is Dec 23 to Jan 2

Our kids are out of school until 1/5. That also includes many of the school districts around us.

Our last day is Wednesday, Dec. 21st, and they don't go back until Monday, Jan. 9th!

2-1/2 weeks -- Crazy!

Here in Ocala, FL, vacation begins after school on the 16th (Friday), and we go back on the 3rd of January (Tuesday).

With the October snowstorm in CT, the kids missed up to a week or more of school, so vacations are already being curtailed as well as extending the school year.

Here in Palm Beach County Fl., my middle school daughter (but the schools are all the same) has 12/23 off (Friday) and goes back on Tuesday 1/10.

So you may be dealing with a large Florida contingent at the parks on your dates.

I wish ours was the same as yours. I like that extra week in January.

Our last day is Friday December 16. They go back Wednesday 1/4/12.

I don't think it goes by state as school breaks are all over the place here based on school system.

Off after 21st, back on the 4th is about right for most here. usually 2 weeks.
