Nude-o-scopes being banning in EU airports

I heard on TV that the nude-o-scope machines are being banned in airports in Europe because of cancer risk. I wonder if the TSA will back off of using them in the US. Personally, I always choose the groping as the lesser of the evils when I have to make that choice. At least that does not have a cancer risk, even if it is an insult to ones dignity.

Of course, I always liked the joke about our new health care system, that if you want a free xray, just go to the airport, and for a free rectal exam, just mention Al Quaeda.

They aren't being removed entirely. There are two kinds: backscatter, and millimeter wave. Sounds like the latter will still be in use in the EU.

Will TSA follow suit? Doubtful. No one tells them what to do...sadly.

Oh, you can tell them what to do, but that will cause them to detain you, harass you, and make you miss your flight. A lot of similarities to the 1930's Gestapo, no?

Never did understand the problem with the X-Ray machines. I think I stopped worrying about nudity when we had the communal showers after fourth grade basketball practice.
