Thanks. The one I never thought about was putting the heavy items down by the wheel end. Makes sense.....

        Thanks Pat

Some great ideas. I'm starting to pack for the cruise tomorrow. I have everything laid out but I know I'll have to eliminate a few things. See you soon.

Using the rolling technique, I was able to get all my stuff in one bag, I could not believe it....it is a 22inch expandable but I am still amazed as I tend to overpack.

I am just tweaking a few things but I am pleasantly surprised as I am not bringing my personal bag boy on this trip.
I will bring a smallish duffle as my carry on and check it on the way home when I have a more generous bagagge allowance.

Me too, I had no idea, plus I think I end up with my raincoat on the bottom instead of the top. I can't see to roll the clothes right.

I've never gotten the hang of rolling either. Whenever I've tried it the clothes are more wrinkled than folding.

I fold, but put a dry cleaner bag (cut in half) in between each garment before I fold to minimize wrinkles. Then I pack a small (empty) spray bottle, filli it with water, hang the clothes in the bathroom and spray any wrinkles, leave overnight and by morning the wrinkles are gone. No need to buy wrinkle remover spray, water works just fine.

Also use the fill-up-the-shoes tip that was in the article. My size 7 sandals will fit into my DH's size 12 shoes , then stuff in a pair of socks to keep from being crushed in the suitcase.

I am totally into the rolling your clothes technique. It saves a TON of space. I even roll my dirty clothes!

I roll too. Learned that from my Uncle who was in the Navy.
Apparently this is taught in the military too.
