Cracker Barrell is a lot of fun and don't forget to go look in the little shop. Lots of kitschy stuff you won't find anywhere else. They always have clothing from the local college teams. I got Kelli a Carolina rams hat for xmas. She looks like an idiot walking around with a ram on her head but she loves it.

I resemble the remark of the dead green beans, they are great!!Kelli always gets chicken & dumps & I get breakfast. I get the Old Timers breakfast: 2 eggs, grits, hashbrowns, bacon, biscuits & gravy.

We had a tug/ts4ms gettogether in Orlando at Cracker Barrell. Everyone enjoyed themselves and there was something for everyone including salads if you don't like green beans.

I fixed up some grits for Lynn & Lyman but Lynn just didn't like em, and this from someone who can eat escargot

My 7 year-old loves Cracker Barrel. We can't ever get her out of the store though.

Hey, let me ask the fellow Long Islanders here...

AA is saying to take 95 to 66 to 340 to Massanutten
Google is saying take 78 to 81 to Massanutten

I'm a little worried about DC traffic on 95, Which way would you go?

When I drove I took 78 to 81. No problem, but it's a long drive any way you look at it.
            Have a nice trip!

              It takes about 4 hours

From BWI Airport area near I-95

              I-95, I-495, Interstate I-66 West.
There is a Virginia Welcome Center
              along I-66 near Manassas, Virginia.
              Take Route 340 South.
Right on Route 33 W to Food Lion for groceries.
              Turned Right at Exxon Station,
Resort Drive to Massanutten Resort (VA).

You don`t want to take Virginia Rt 340
Nice corner to stop off for gas, snack
RT 340 is only a two lane (scenic) road
It goes thru lots of small towns, inc.
              Front Royal, Luray, Shenandoah, Elkton.

Best to stay on I-66 pass Route 340
Head South on I-81 - East on Rt 33

I've never been to a Cracker Barrell, even to use the rest room. I feel culturelly deprived.

Don't. Been there, done that, not all that impressed.

Would I eat there again? Probably. It was clean, wait staff was friendly and the food was okay. It is the kind of place to eat when you're on the road and need to stop to eat. I certainly wouldn't go searching one out..........unlike my friend who considers Cracker Barrell the height of fine dining.

I wouldn't worry about DC traffic on Saturday.

Cracker Barrel is great for a roadside meal.

Beyond that nothing to talk about.

They have great hand lotion in the bathroom to try/use. Of course it's for sale in the store.
