purchased air and hotel ressies for the lower price and then cancelled the hotel ressie and been able to keep the air ressie? Is this easy to do or chancy that you may not be able to keep the air ticket? TIA

I have heard of people who book it, check in at the hotel and don't stay there. On checkout day, they just drop by, and check out as normal. I think if you cancelled the hotel reservation altogether, you would be charged a totally different, higher price.
