I suspect no one comes close to your list, Carolinian. We've been in quite a few countries (but not as many as you have), but driven only in Canada, U.S., Mexico, U.K. (England, Scotland and Ireland), Spain, and Italy. In other countries, we haven't actually driven.

I've only driven in a few and that was enough for me.
Nothing like the good ol USA for road trips.

Spain, Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Barbados and of course my favorite USA.

                United States
                Canada
                Mexico
                Venezuela

The worst drivers by far were in Venezuela. The best drivers are in the US.
The worst roads is a toss up between Mexico and Venezuela. The best roads are in the United States but it varies a lot in the different states as do the drivers.

I lived in all 4 countries so did a lot of driving in them all.

We thought the roads in Spain were wonderful--smooth, great signage--and the drivers were all we could ask for. We were impressed; we'll go again and definitely do another road trip.

Don't mind Canada, but aside from that I'm with chriskre. I prefer road trips, for the most part, but also prefer driving in the U.S., and figure there are enough places here to keep us entertained for a while anyhow. Aside from Canada, the only reason I've gone anywhere outside of the U.S. was when my job or hubby's sent us somewhere or offered us a free trip. Although hubby doesn't seem to care -- he was fine driving in Korea, where I thought the drivers were nuts. But he's less interested in traveling the world than I am, so I doubt we're going to add many to that list.

You think the best roads are in Cancun? Wow, I have been all over that area from Cancun south to Tulum many times. The roads aren't bad but don't come close to many of the states.
