  • What is the farthest North, South, East, and West you have ever travelled?

What is the farthest point east, west, north, and south you have ever travelled? Since the would is round and west eventually becomes east and vice versa, for those directions, the key would be how far did you travel to the east when travelling in an easterly direction, and how far west when travelling in a westerly direction?

    Mine would be:
West - Hawaii (by air from the US mainland)
East - Yerevan, Armenia (by rail from Tbilishi, Georgia)
North - Narvik, Norway (inside the Arctic Circle) (by rail from Stockholm, Sweden)
South - Cape of Good Hope, South Africa (by rental car from Capetown, SA)

West - Hawaii, flew from LAX.

East - Boston, Montreal, and NYC. They are all pretty much the same distance east with Boston slightly farther.

North - Northern British Columbia Canada

    South - Venezuela

OK, if purely going by the travel direction, I would say East most place I have been is Vienna, Austria, which seems to be further east from Naples, Italy.

        Further editions:
West - Kauai (by air from the US mainland)
East - Vienna, Austria (by air from the US)
North - Yukon Territory, Canada (by Cruise to Skagway, AK; then by rental car)
South - Tasmania, Australia (by air to Australia, then by cruise)

North - drive to Manley Hot Springs, Alaska - it's a couple miles south of the Arctic Circle and we traveled above the line on the way there, driving from Fairbanks
