  • Fun in the Sun? Rosacea help?

This is the first year in many that I have had a flair up of Rosacea. Of course it is recommended to stay out of the sun . But since this skin problem is so common, I was wondering if anyone else has this honor and what skin care and/or sunscreen that has worked well to minimize the flairups when at the beach or pool.

    Vanessa,

I have a good friend who's daughter suffers with Rosacea. I have gone on vacations with them in the past where she has had an out-break.

I know that she had a topical antibiotic, as well as an oral one. She was given them from her Dermatologist. She would use a grease-less sunscreen, although I don't remember which one.

Do you have a dermatologist that you can call for advice. I think the prescriptions cleared up the problem rather quickly, as I recall.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Thank you, my doctor did prescribe a topical and Claritin. On the sunny side (ha ha), I will be shopping for some nice hats. I could never give up the warm weather.

      Thank you for your response.
