      Baltimore National Heritage Area
      The Heart of the Chesapeake

For nearly three centuries, Baltimore has stood as a center of commerce and culture for the Chesapeake Bay. The city has seen the incredible transformation of American identity, shaped by war, prosperity, and struggles for freedom and civil rights. The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in North America.

122-125 I don't think any have ever been a disappointment. I normally assume if they have made "national" status, they are definitely worth my time, and so far, that's been true.

Wow - way more than I thought. But I was thinking National Parks, not necessarily monuments, treasures, landmarks, etc. I stopped counting at about 50 and I was only half way through the alphabet. Thanks for posting - I plan to go back and look over the list more thoroughly. I had forgotten about a lot of the places we have been to. I agree with riversdee05, we are very lucky to live in such a beautiful country.

looked the list over and I think maybe 65 to 70, but some weren't national parks when we went, like Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

And one of the very few good things about getting older is that you can get this pass that gives you free or discounted admittance to a lot of these places.
