  • Where to travel in April , May & June Domestic or International

I'm asking this here, because there are so many more knowledgeable people when it comes to global travelling.

My employer has a provision that allows me to do leave with income averaging, and I have been contemplating the idea of taking advantage of it. The best time for me to utilize it is during the first two or three months of our fiscal year which starts April 1st each year.

The requirements are that it be at least 5 weeks in length, and can be no more than 3 months. I would likely only take 5 weeks as with my 3 weeks regular vacation this would probably be more than enough.

I am looking for a starting point to guide my research so I'm not spending time looking at places where weather would be horrible, or nothing would be open during that time. I'm ok going with US or Canadian locations, but better locations would be international such as Europe or Asia even.

Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

5 weeks! Yaaaaay!!! I'd go to Europe. Are you looking for timeshares, hotels, rentals, or a combination of all 3?

The weather should be pretty nice in a bunch of areas in Europe, that time of year. Lots of possible itineraries, depending on how many countries you'd like to visit......You could begin in Spain, move on to France, and end in Italy.

Or, you could stick to one, or two countries, and visit more areas in each country. Whatever you decide, 5 weeks in nice!

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

If I had that much time, I would go somewhere far. Asia/Indonesia. Bali is something to behold, then to Thailand (not yet been). Maybe Australia from there... a stop in HI on the way back isn't the worst thing. You might be able to do T/S for some or much of this.

My second choice would be an in depth European tour, timeshare not as easy to manage though and costs are high compared to Southeast Asia.

How about a cruise that does the Caribbean and ends in Brazil.
Brazil and Argentina are beautiful and the weather should be mild that time of year.
You can do a one way cruise either beginning or ending in South America from Florida..
Hurricane season doesn't pick up til after June so you'd miss it.

Here's one on MSC. Not sure if I'd take that cruise line but I'm sure there are others.
Then you could do a few days in Solara. I'll come visit ya.

BTW, don't forget about checking II & RCI for Getaways, and Extra Vacation's. II currently has a variety of weeks available for those months in Europe, Asia & So America. Haven't checked RCI, but I'm sure that they have some, too.
