We were in Pisa for a few hours in Dec 2012. Last week, we received a fine by registered mail addressed to my husband for driving in a 'restricted traffic zone'. We didn't know that we had done this. Have googled it and apparently there is an "international" sign to say no cars allowed but not international enough as we obviously didn't recognise it.
Anyway, I do not want to pay it. It is for 121€ and will be 198€ if we don't pay within 60 days of receipt.
Has anyone received this type of infringement notice from Pisa??
Does anyone know what happens enforcement-wise if you don't don't pay and you are not part of the EU?
