  • Pooch friendly lodging.

I wish I had a list when my pooch was still alive.

    Chain hotels & motels.

Thanks for posting! I often forget to ask, then feel bad when I get somewhere after leaving the dog with a sitter only to find other poochies parading down the hall. I used to avoid the pet friendly places due to my own allergies, but the good places charge an extra fee which is applied to a really good deep hypoallergenic cleaning on departure. At least that's what they say

I avoid those places where pets are allowed. Yes, the establishment may charge a cleaning fee to "deep clean" after departure, but honestly how deep can they clean when the turn is less than 12 hours and in many cases 6 hours or less? I don't really want to sit on a chair where Fido may have had an accident the night before, let alone sleep on the same bed. And let's face it, not all pet owners are conscientiousness. I also know that people can have the same accidents, but it is probably less likely and also my own "thing."

I Agree with Joy. Plus there is the barking. Stayed in one of my favorite motels and doggie across hall barked quite a lot.

Are there any current timeshare lists for pet friendly? My aunt would travel if fido could come along....

I'm not sure anyway is keeping a database as it changes often and the perks
are usually only extended to owners.
I know of several in Orlando though, VV Parkway, Westgate Villas, the Silverleaf resorts and a few others.
I think you can find some of the info in the II website but I would definitely call the resort to verify anything before booking.
