This looks amazingly charming. I'd love to do this one of these days....

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I've heard a lot about Neuschwanstein Castle many a time, and gone looking for pics a time or two, but for some reason Linderhof Palace was completely off my radar. Those gardens look wonderful!

And I feel dumb now for not realizing Augsburg would have gone back to the Roman era; I always associate it with Martin Luther and the late Middle Ages.

I disagree with their statement that, "American road trips typically jut through the heartland...but some quaint waterways never hurt the eyes" (implying that isn't what you see here), because when I hear "Romantic Road" I immediately think of Highway One along the Pacific, or the Great River Road along the Mississippi, or a Great Lake Circle Tour, and certainly the second two offer "quaint waterways" pretty often. But I can't think of any American road trip that offers quaint waterways, stunner castles, AND mountains!

Beautiful photographs. Keep this up, and I may break down and take a European vacation yet. But I still thank you for sharing this link.

Castles, no....., But I've taken a road trip from Sedona to the Grand Canyon that was truly magnificent. Also along a "quaint waterway." So, I agree with you, but would love to do this Romantic Road trip, too. Looks so charming!
