If you are walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, you could spend time in Brooklyn Heights, a really beautiful neighborhood. There are lots of shops and restaurants on Montague street. Generally, you'll be better off walking the bridge during the week than on the weekends when it will be very crowded, especially on a nice day.
Here are some suggestions for the other side of the bridge:

For Central Park, you can grab a quick bite at The Boathouse Express (or a nice lunch or dinner at The Boathouse, but make a reservation ahead of time). Great views of the lake, and you can also rent a rowboat and go out on the lake - it's a great way to spend some time in the park and the lake is small so you don't need much time. Great views here. You can also just bring a picnic, btw, check to see if Pappardelle is still offering picnic basket deals on Groupon (or Living Social?), but if not you can also just grab a sandwich and bring it with.
