Ha, I can't believe British Airways made it onto the top 20 list either. Who are these voters with such poor taste ?

Malaysian Airlines have been in the top 20 for the last 5 years at least but I doubt they will survive this latest disaster. After a plane went missing in March, they lost a quarter of their business. In 2012 our Qantas was going to do a tie-up with Malaysian MAS but instead chose a partnership with the Dubai-based Emirates. I have always found Malaysian Airlines to be exceptionally good and feel very sorry for my neighbours troubles.

I have never flown with them. What an awful year. Their shares must be plummeting ....

The World Travel Awards gave the "Worlds Leading Airline" award to Etihad Airways for the last 5 years. I wonder who will get the vote this year.

They have struggled financially the last 3 years apparently. Last years loss was 1.17 billion ringgit (AU$363 million), almost three times larger than its 433 million ringgit loss in 2012.
