  • American Airlines now accepting PayPal as payment option. What other airlines?

Thanks to Lawren2 I was aware that Delta had this option.

But I am seeing it for the first time with AA as I am starting to look for Caribbean ticket options for next winter

It could have been there for a while but I had not noticed.

The real upside of this is that you can utilize Paypal's 6 months no interest (if paid off) plan "PayPal Credit" and spread your payments out over time.

Let's start of list of other airlines that offer this feature.

    American Airlines
    Delta

Edit....PayPal Credit was formally know as "Bill Me Later"

I love using their money for free! I do tend to have large Paypal bills year round these days though.

Most have a minimum of $250 before they will offer the 6 month no interest deal.

But if you pay using Paypal are you hooking it to your credit card so you can still earn air miles (or whatever you collect)?

I think once the spinoff is done you will be seeing Paypal in more and more places.

Luanne, this isn't regular PayPal that is linked to your bank account or credit card for payment.
This is their own version of credit....and they usually offer a no interest option 'loan'

The one drawback for me Is that with my credit card I get travel insurance on the tickets automatically so I tend not to use PayPal because of that. It is just good to know that this option is available.

I'm not sure about the US, but agents often charge a "credit card surcharge fee" for flight purchases. If you pay with your credit card via Paypal, you can avoid the surcharge. It is discussed in this article (the comments are interesting too) ~

Does Paypal offer a loophole to avoid Credit Card Surcharges?
