alternative to Kayak for searching flights?

    After I saw this thread, I realized I needed info on 4 different trips.

    I entered the searches and had it sent daily. Yesterday morning I got a significant price drop for one. There was suddenly non stop jet blue service out of La Guardia where there had not been before. I quickly purchased at $310. Non. Stop out of JFK was $384.
    This morning, my same flights are on the alert for $390

    So thanks for starting this thread Glitter, you are saving me money!

      My favorite is Cheap Tickets.

      I have used it several times for multi-city flights where nobody else, including the individual airline sites, could do it.

          The basic idea behind Skiplagged is that it takes advantage of something called "hidden city" fares, where it might be cheaper to book a flight with a connection, and then never actually take the second leg of the trip. You can't take checked luggage though and you can only book a one-way flight.

              I check skyscanner several times a week dreaming of vacations and have found a number of flights in Europe through it which I bought. Good for car hire in Europe too.
