Thinking about an Alaska Cruise for next May. Has anyone done any? If so which cruise lines? What did you like or dislike about that cruise?

Yes we have been on an Alaska cruise and we loved it. We are going on it again this May, 2016. The cruise line is Royal Caribbean. RCCL seems to suit our needs so we have only been on one other cruise line and that was because RCCL didn't have a Hawaii cruise itinerary that we liked. -
Thanks. We are going on Holland American. Took me awhile to decide which one suited our needs, but that one seems the best for us.

It's a great cruise Nancy. You'll love it.
So much spectacular scenery to see.

Hi Nancy,
We took Holland America's Alaska cruise in 2011 and love it. Like you, I did lots of research and finally chose the 7-DAY Round-trip Vancouver on Zuiderdam due to its itinerary and program. It's an older ship but very well kept. The atmosphere on board is subdued elegance. Food is good to great. We also enjoyed its laundry deal for the whole cabin and really took advantage of it. Not sure if they still offer such. I would love to go back to Alaska on HL again, but we will do a one-way cruise next time.Comment

Thanks all. We are on the Niew Amsterdam out of Vancouver. Not sure it has done this itinerary before. Our best friends cruise a lot and really like Holland American. That is not the reason we chose this cruise, but it helps knowing someone likes that cruise company. We have never cruised because DH didn't want to, but for our 50th Anniversary, he is making an exception.
