  • No more free checked bag on Jet BOO

Apparently this went into effect on July 1st but I only just got the bad news.

They've now built in "regular" fares, with a checked bag costing an extra $20 if you book online, or $25 at the airport.

Then "Blue Plus" which includes a checked bag, incorporated into the fare at about $15 at time of booking.

Other stuff, too. AND I just booked a flight and couldn't find the Blue Plus fare, so will get clipped for $20 to add the bag separately.

We booked flights for October. At this point I can't remember when we booked them and if the baggage fee will apply.

Fees are applicably only to reservations made or changed after June 30th.

I was finally able to pull up my flight info. Looks like our bags will still be free.

Is Southwest the only airline left that still does not charge for checked baggage? DS just bought tickets to come home for Thanksgiving on Southwest and was pleasantly surprised that he can check two bags for free!

Wouldn't that be nice if they listened to their customers. That doesn't seem to change a policy much, once it's been established.

Are they offering free bags if you have their credit card?
AA has free bags if you have the credit card.
I end up breaking even with the baggage fees plus my miles never expire having the card.
