Yup. I lift my feet off the pedals while coasting through water on a bike in Mexico. As long as I can pedal faster than they can run I doubt that they will ever catch this outlaw.

Purchased, possessed and smoked cigars made in Cuba. Illegal for Americans in or outside the country.

Maybe seriously, when I was in Guadalajara in the '70s, I was concerned about doing something not allowed. We weren't sure what was and what wasn't and when there are armed militia people standing around, it's scary.

Oh wait, yeah, that night another guy and I went over to Tijuana, we got stopped by a cop there. As I recall, I did not have Mexican insurance on the car I had, and it was a recovered theft we had picked up take to Kansas City.

So, you can probably figure out how this played out. We finally pulled enough $$$ out of our pockets to satisfy the cop, and he let us go.

Then the other guy got a HUGE speeding ticket in Kansas on the way home. Is that abroad?

On the way back from Mexico once, we landed in Tampa and had to grab our bags and run to a waiting plane for the next leg of our trip. I had an empty Cuban cigar tube in my shirt packet and when I took it out to explain it was empty, the customs guy said that it wasn't a problem unless there was a box-full or more they were not concerned.
