I could book now, but we have to put our vacation time requests for December to March, in September. I won't know until October if I get the time off or not so it would have to be something that I can get rid of easily if we can't go. This year it kind of falls at a weird time because I could leave on Christmas day and come back on New Years day. Warm is probably the big thing. I know Branson Missouri is supposed to be popular for New Years, and it is a little bit closer to a certain extent, but I don't think it is warm enough for me.
The only tough thing about renting in a warm location for a big holiday week is that airfare becomes prohibitive for many.
