Oops, guess I should have read the title of the list. There are many beaches that don't offer sun and sand and still could qualify on their view alone.

Our houseguest took some beach sunset photos the other evening that are really great. She made a collage with her special phone and put them on facebook. She took a couple while we were sitting still and then started clicking away while we were moving slowly. She got some of those perfectly framed with sea oats.

January was not beachy, but we're back in the normal groove now.

Still surprised that none of the Long Island NY or Jersey Shore beaches made it….I have not been to that particular beach on Cape Cod, Race Point…but many of the beaches on the Cape are beautiful.
Pat, Race Point is gorgeous. So is Herring Cove Beach, also in PTown. More walking from the car to get to the water in Race Point while at Herring Cove it's just a few yards, so probably not as picturesque but very convenient. The water is so incredibly crystal clear you can see your feet when you're in up to your chin.

What other beaches would you recommend? I'm a tourist so looking for lesser known beaches :-)

In our neck o the Gulf, just about any beach would suffice, but we tend to stay away from the overbuilt, commercialized places nowadays. Englewood Beach, Blind Pass Beach and Manasota Beach are packed today.
