I knew I forgot to post about this...
Flew Jet Blue on the last trip. Car service drops me off on the closest end of the terminal 5. This is usually where I check my bag and get on the security line.
Wrong. Everything is closed on this end.
Wheel the large suitcase ( ~ 3 weeks and 2 climates ) all the way down past the middle of the terminal to check my bag, go to get on the security line which appears to begin mid-terminal .
Wrong. Everybody else gets on security here. TSA pre-check? Way back where I first came in...
Come home late one evening. Pick up suitcase from carousel 2. Walk out of the terminal. Where's the cab line???
Back in the terminal, walk back to mid-terminal, up the escalators, use the walk over, get on an elevator, walk out in the middle of nowhere for the yellow cab services. Glad I'm in good shape physically.
They are building an expansion terminal 5 and hotel. I guess on the old TWA terminal site. I really hope this mess is fixed before mid-March. I can save all the steps on the first part but the second is arduous and unavoidable.

Why do I feel that Jet Blue could have issued an advisory when the 24 hours to departure check-in email arrived?
