  • First Class Seats

I was able to get 2 R/T tickets to Hawaii using FF miles in First Class. I have not sat in First Class since 1985! I reserved seats, but opted not to take row number. Is this a good choice? I thought maybe row 1 would have a bit more leg room, but what about the tray tables? Are they the ones that pull up from the armrest? Which rows would be better?

    First Class

We did first class to Oahu from Atlanta and a short summary is that there were no bad first class seats -- at least on a direct flight. Leg room is not an issue -- you literally cannot touch the seat in front of you while sitting in the seat.

    Have a wonderful trip!

      Row 1

The only problem with Row 1 is that you have no underseat storage. Everything must go in overhead.

I just flew First Class home on Thursday from Wash. DC to LAX in Row 2. Having flown before in Row 1 I now have a general rule to NOT reserve Row 1 - there is no underseat storage and if it happens to be an older plane, there is not as much leg room. The one advantage is you can put your stocking feet up on the wall if you choose.

Just remember, if you have a seat in front of you and no luggage underneath - you do get extra space to really stretch your legs! Barb
