Still over 3 bucks locally, but in the metropolitan towns around to the south and west the price is under $ 3. I think it will drop some more after Labor Day.

      Good News / Bad News

      $2.65 in Delaware this week
      $2.70 in MD Ocean City
      $2.76 on I-95 in NJ

Heck of a lot better than earlier this summer but the news states that airplane fuel and home heating costs will remain high.

$2.95 is fairly common in the Las Vegas area now, and a bit less in some areas. I have a huge gas tank, which I let get under half full, and I paid $45.25 for a fillup today. Ouch!

Is it that high throughout FL right now?

Anyone w/gas prices in Georgia or Alabama? We're headed that way in the next few weeks.

We're near Asheville, NC and gas is down to $2.49 here... first time under $2.50 in a looooong time.

I saw a brief interview on TV (CNBC?) a few days ago where one energy analyst predicted prices would go lower and even under $ 1.00 a gallon ! I seriously doubt that will ever happen again and I doubt if the price will ever dip under $ 2.00 again.

Idaho still above $2.90/gal. 2nd or 3rd highest in the nation. And we get our gas,via pipeline, from refineries in UT!! Only 300 miles away.

The damage have been done the high cost of gasoline in the USA in the past two years will cost 100,000 's of thousands American jobs in the automobile industry and other related industries.

I hope the high profits will pay off for the oil industry. Just ask Ford and GM workers what the huge profits in oil did to the automobile industry.

Now that is where I wish it would go back down to.

From what I hear on Cnbc it will still keep drooping. Some areas have not yet adjusted yet. You will be seeing it continue to come back down slowly. Part of the reason has been an over supply, Another reason is there have not been any damaging storms yet.
