Early Spring in Williamsburg?

I'm looking for a place to take my 3 children (ages 5, 1 1/2 and 1 1/2) within a 7 hour or less driving distance from NYC for Easter week. I am thinking of going to Williamsburg. What is that like in the early spring and is that a good place to take such young children? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

Wmbg is a great place fore Easter for kids of all ages. CW and BG are open by WC-USA is not. let me know if you need help getting a place.

My sister, her family, my son and I went the third week in April a few years ago - the weathr was nice, not outdoor swiming weather but we just wore light jackets and it was great golfing weather. My sister returned the following year and did Bush Gardens and all the usual stuff.
I would return in April again in a minute.

How is the Kingsmill Resort & Spa?

I purchased at the FF Williamsburg Kingsgate, but will not have the points available to use until after 10/1/07. I could rent there or one of the other Williamsburg area TSs or I could stay at the Kingsmill resort which is substantially more expensive, but seems to have a lot of amenities.

Don't they give you an owner's discount on rentals? Or could you rent something through RCI Extra Vacations?

RCI's got Fairfield Kingsgate and Sunterra Powhatan 2brs for most of April on Extra Vacations, in the $400 range.

My family wants to go to Wburg over spring break, too, but we're hoping SFX will be able to get us an exchange there. No luck yet.

Follow up Spence's offer to assist you in W'Burg. He is very VERY knowledgeable and generally has some very nice units there as rentals.

He would be my first stop.

While the rest of March/April is usually very easy to exchange for or to get a Getaway/Last Call... Easter/Holy week is usually much harder. I do still have some left Wacky and OP.

Mine's not Easter week, it's late April, check-in date 4/21 or 4/22. I really want SFX to find me a week. I have two weeks in with them that they have not been able to find matches for and I'm afraid they'll expire.
