Keep in mind that most "promo stays" involve paying a discounted rate in exchange for a 90 minute "presentation" or "tour." Some freebies for a couple of nights come around once in a while. But you will not be "watching" a presentation. You will be engaged in what is most often a very hard sell meeting with a salesperson trained to get you to buy NOW... whatever you do, RESIST....Originally posted by ranark View PostComment

The one I went to at the Berkshire Village gave away either a 2 night cruise to the bahamas or two 4 night stays at 2 of their resorts, your choice, plus a 2 night stay at the berkshire inn hotel. In addtion, you got a $150 visa gift card. They called me and I asked lots of questions, what do you mean by showcase? Are we watching a presentation or do we have our own salesperson showing us around. Well...they break you up into "groups". Do these groups just contain the people you bring with you? "No, they are larger then that". Liar liar pants on fire!
They didn't lie about the free gifts though. Those people are soo sneaky and deceiving, from the callers to the sellers. They also get a lot of people because people just go for the free gift and say we are definitly not going to buy, so they don't do any research before hand. Then they are conned into it at the end.
