  • Best way to fly to Hawaii - multi leg?

Doing two weeks, two islands, in hawaii this November. Fly out of PHL most trips.
What is the best way to book this, single or multiple airlines (i.e island hopper)?
What is the best web site to do the search? No points, no frequent flyer, just lowest cost.
Did a quick search at ITA and cme back with a $700-$800 price.

Are you interested in staying in LA or San Fran to break up your trip? Not sure if JetBlue flies out of Philly non-stop but certainly they do out of NYC. You could fly to San Fran, for example, or back via San Fran, and use the Oakland hub to Hawaii to fly on Aloha Airlines. Just an idea for ya...and surely more fun to layover in Calif than in some midwest cities or Atlanta. Hope others weigh in with more ideas.

We are doing PHL to SF, then two days later SF to KOA on United. Doing KOA to LAX to PHL all on the same day coming home. Our price is $833 for that and I had to work hard to get it that low. If you are not staying on Oahu try not to fly into Oahu and then hop. The Comcast home page has a travel search using a Kayak engine. That's where I found the best price. I also checked Mobissimo and Orbitz for airlines that Kayak doesn't check.

If you want to put your own separate legs together Southwest is good for a low cost flight to the west coast and then Hawaiian and Aloha have sales from the West Coast to Hawaii if you get lucky enough.
