Hope you get your passport in time. Know what you mean about loosing track of time when you have a sick parent. It can be all time consuming.

Been 7 weeks, 3 more to go.

Interesting, that you were given such a long timelag. Others who have used the site were told to expect theirs within "24 hours," "3 days," etc. I do not know anyone who was told "10 weeks."

I am also now concerned as to why I am not in their system, (while you were given an estimated date of delivery) -- if we are using the same dates for submission of our renewal request. I, too, sent my request via priority mail.

It also should be noted that the folk who were given estimated dates for delivery received their passports earlier than the date/time quoted. One person was told to expect the passport within 5 days, and received it the next day.

So, there are some quirks still in the system. (I am a Federal retiree, so this does not surprise me )

      hope this info helps,

We got a notice that something was tried to be delivered (altho I think it's Kelli's replacement phone) What now? shaggy
Shaggy, let us know when you get it. I hope it's in time for you to go this Sunday. I would be in panic by now but everyone is so different.

P.P.P. ... Congressmen have better things they should be doing than having their staffs run down passports for people who didn't turn their applications in in time.

Priority mail earns you a day or two at best and means nothing to the people who receive it.

Not very nicely put, whether it is true or not. If the system were not so screwed up, help would not be needed.

Perhaps, but Shaggy called a Congresswoman, who has no trouble multi-tasking

                  It"s Here!!!!!!!!!

Spence, as usual you are full of joy I know you want to be President of my fanclub!!! As Glitter pointed out, leave it to a woman to be able to multitask!! Not only did I get the passports today, Kelli got her phone ( both brought by Fed Ex)

I called Rebecca, the girl who works for the congresswoman and personally thanked her. I am sending a thank you card to her boss to let her know how much I appreciated her and how proud she should be of her. I will also send a postcard from Mexico to let her know how much fun we are having!! shaggy

                      Fabulous News!

I am so happy you got those $#&*# passports!

I hope you and Kelli have a great time in Mexico, and be sure to vote for your congresswoman next time you have an election.

                      Hugs,
                      Ann

So glad you got the passports! When I renewed mine a few years ago the new one arrived in less than a week! Hubby was getting his for the first time & his only took 2 weeks. Now that everyone needs them I guess the system has really bogged down

What really will take forever is the postcard from Mexico!! We sent family ones from Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta. They arrived 6 weeks later!

So glad you don't have to fret over that anymore.

Curious - was it the FedX notice you received?

regardless, you are now set to have a peaceful and relaxing trip!
