I believe you're going to start seeing a lot of changes with all the airline FF programs. They've given consumers to many ways to earn miles other than fly for them and now they have a glut of FF miles sitting out there. It's costing them to much money and they can't support their own programs anymore. I received an announcement from AA program that we'll need to earn qualifying miles (I assume fly) our miles will expire.

Since I tend to fly whomever is least expensive, if all programs do this, and I assume they will, means I'll lose some of the miles we earn.

FF miles were originally designed to breed loyalty to the airline. The airlines made them into a commodity by giving consumers so many ways to earn them without flying. Now we're all paying the price.

Still 20K if you book online.
