We'll be bringing my mother with us to Las Vegas in the fall. Does anyone have a recommendation on the type of motorized scooter to rent? Also need suggestions on where to rent and how much to expect to pay.
Not sure of the price but they can be rented in conjunction with a car from Avis. I found this link by googling mobility scooter rental las Vegas. There are others but I don't have the time to run a lot of them down.
Here's the link I looked at Scooter Rentals with Scootaround and Avis

Sue,
This is from a person that had motorcycles for years. Unless you are planning on riding far away from Vegas I would not get a scooter. Traffic in Vegas is bad and from what we saw the last 2 times there the driving is crazy. Each time we heard on the news about people being killed crossing the street. Please think twice about your decision.
Good luck,
Bart
Sue,
We were there last year for Thanksgiving and rented one for my cousin from Scootaround. It was $140.00 for the week. They had it delivered to your hotel and you just leave it at the front desk when you leave. He had no trouble getting around Vegas. There are enough walkways crossing the Blvd. to go many places. He would charge it overnight for the next days use.
Bart,
I think they meant a mobility scooter, not a motor scooter.
And yes, people do end up dead from crossing the street. Jaywalking is what does it in virtually all the instances. They can't be bothered to walk the few feet to the intersection and wait for the light. Many of those instances are on Flamingo east of The Strip, near Koval or Paradise, or out near Orleans.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I also found Scootaround on my own. They quoted me about $170 for 5 days. Polo Towers also says on their site that they can provide wheelchairs, etc. I have to call them tomorrow anyway so I'll ask about scooter rental at that time.

Thanks Fern,
I guess I should have read into more.
