  • Top Five Timeshare destinations

Ok. I am curious. Since I just started in the timesharing world, I am excited about all the new places that I can visit. My mind has been spinning with location ideas. So, what are your top 5 timeshare destinations?

I am very interested to hear.

Based on numbers of timeshare units:
in the US - Orlando, Branson, Williamsburg
in the Caribbean - Sint Maarten
in Europe - Canary Islands and Costa del Sol of Spain

The above are all easy trades.

Hard trades, with a lot of demand and low supply:
in the US - New York, San Francisco, Charleston
in the Caribbean - St. Lucia, St. John
in Europe - London, Paris, Ireland

This group are all difficult trades

I'm not quite sure what you're seeking. Are you asking people to list their personal faves? Are you asking what the top 5 areas are that people trade into? Or are you asking what the five areas are that are the most difficult to trade into (i.e., where demand outstrips supply by the largest amount)?

All of those have different answers.

I'm guessing that your interested in people's personal faves. Our faves would be:

        Hawai'i
        Whistler
        Puerto Vallarta
        Caribbean
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

        “You shouldn't wear that body.”

Mexico - Grand Mayans Only ( I am not an owner )
                Las Vegas

I have had many great exchanges to other places over the past 18 years but would not go back to any of them. We tend to do more non-timeshare vacations.

Personal favorites are mostly were we own.

                    1. Palm Beach Shores FL
                    2. Las Vegas, NV
                    3. Branson, MO

Favorite exchanges have been into the Ridge at Lake Tahoe and into the Quarter House in New Orleans.

In the coming months we'll be staying in Exchanges in Scottsdale, AZ and in Hilton Head Island.

The only exchange neigther of us were thrilled with was Orlando. We're not huge amusement park fans and only went there for my wife's daughters 15th birthday over her schools spring break. The next time we're likely visit Orlando will be for future grandkids.

We have used our Marriott Rewards points (from exchaging Marriott units for points) to travel to Ireland for a week and that was one of our most enjoyed trips, even if we did spend the week in a hotel room. Presently I'm working on earning/saving enough points for a trip to Australia or New Zealand, maybe both.
