  • Golf Destination Club?

Has anyone heard of the Markers Club. They are apparently a high end golf destination club, but I am looking for anyone who might have experience with them before I think to seriously about dealing with them. They are a bit pricey but I figured this would be a good place to look for someone that might have dealt with them. Any info you might have on them would be great.

I am also curious as to what the difference between a destination club and a timeshare is. Does anyone have a good answer for this one?

    Thanks

My experience of the last 10 years is that golf is not of interest to exactly a plethora of timeshare owners. My frequent attempts to broach the subject here and OY has turned up only a smidgen of interest.

As illogical as it sounds that golf is not a popular resort activity among timesharers, it seems that it is not.

You might have better success on a golf forum. Perhaps more golfers timeshare than timesharers golf.

I have never gone to a destination golf resort as there is no shortage of golf courses in our timeshare destinations.

        Golfing on The Riviera Maya

        Golf Fan,
Palace resorts have two golf courses:

        Moon Palace Golf Club

The newest Palace Resorts golf course is a 7,165-yard, par-72 Jack Nicklaus Signature championship course. Its dynamic layout requires golfers to navigate through native Mayan vegetation as well as numerous wetlands and strategically placed bunkers.

They also have :Playacar Golf Club

Located on the Playa del Carmen Hotel Zone, this 18 hole course was built amongst the lush foliage of the Yucatan Peninsula, making this golf course not only beautiful, but challenging as well. The Palace Resorts' Playacar Golf Club provides a first class practice area, complete with a spectacular driving range, and a large putting green including chipping, pitching, and greenside bunker areas.

I have played at the Moon Palace Golf Club but not the Playacar Golf Club.
The course is awesome. They really take care of you there.

If you are interested I am renting two of my weeks this year at Palace resorts. Let me know.

          Playacar Golf

I'm interested in learning more about this whole timeshare thing. Do any of you guys actually make money with it, or is it solely about discounted accomodations? I'm going to Playacar in April and I'm looking for a golf package. Any thoughts? Thanks, LT

I am overlooking the 17th green at the 'slammer and squire golf course', right next to the golf hall of fame, and I don't play golf.
