Here is an article in Time that states JetBlue will be offering free service as a test on their NY and San Fran routes for the next 6 months. It will then be rolled out system wide.

I'm dreading the day when phones can be used on aircraft. It's bad enough in a cafe, restaurant or on a train when some moron decides that everybody else has to listen to one side of their conversation. At least then you can move away from it when it gets too annoying. Imagine being stuck in the seat next to motormouth screaming into his mobile to be heard over the engine noise!
Any bets on how long it will be between phones being permitted and the first serious assault on a phone user??
