Just got a great deal on Ft. Lauderdale hotel

On Best Western.com, there is a fluke or something. I needed one night before I fly out to Atlantis in September. Got a room for $11.00. And then I saw they had AAA rates and senior rates of $9. (I was robbed. LOL) My reservation is for September 19th at the Best Western Oakland Park Inn. 7 miles from the airport. One mile to the beach. It is a deluxe room including pillowtop bed, high speed internet access, wet bar, and continental breakfast. Free parking, free cocktail, heated pool. You may find the same rates for other dates. It is worth a try.

I called their 800 number and gave them my confirmation number and they confirmed it was a good reservation.

Wow -- that's great! I'm not going there but I played around with some other dates just for fun and it gave the same rate. Congrats -- that's a heckofa find!

Yeah, they fixed it. The deal was on there yesterday for about four hours. I found out it was going to cost me more to get to and from the airport than the room cost. So ... I got on hotwire and rented a car for $12.95. So ... I'm still happy. Thrilled, actually. Things like this usually don't work out for me.
